Here’s the play by play…
I make my obsession with Metallica very aparent to everyone I meet. I am a proud fanatic and most people know me as “Metal Jill,” “Jilltallica,” or my favorite “Slutallica” haha. So when I had a pit ticket to the Metallica concert last October, I was not going to settle for anything less than front and center, gripping the rail.
I met up with the Metallichicks.com webmaster who had the banner we had all submitted signitures for. I assured her I would help her get it in the hands of one of the band members by the end of the show.
I waited for the right moment to get James’ attention and it worked! We both reached out and I got it right into his hands. He smiled at me then paraded the banner around the stage. “The Metallichicks are here!” he said.
Then he came back over to me and pulled the sweaty wristband off his arm and gave it to me. I still have it and wear it occasionally, especially when I play my bass.
